Role Summary: As the Marketing Director at Muddy Robot Games, your strategic vision will drive the promotion and visibility of our games. You will lead marketing efforts, from branding to digital campaigns, social media, community development, customer acquisition, and forging the path to market our games to a global audience.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience in user acquisition and digital marketing strategies will also be considered.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing with a focus on user acquisition, specifically within the mobile gaming or entertainment industry.
  • For candidates from outside the gaming industry, at least 8 years of experience in a marketing role with a proven record of user growth and acquisition.
  • A deep understanding of the mobile gaming market and current trends in user acquisition.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and optimize the effectiveness of user acquisition strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a results-driven marketing team.

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated success in user acquisition through various channels including but not limited to paid advertising, social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and app store optimization (ASO).
  • Expertise in digital marketing techniques such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), data analysis, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Proficiency with analytics and attribution platforms such as Google Analytics, Adjust, or similar tools to track acquisition efforts and user engagement.
  • Experience in managing marketing budgets efficiently, with a focus on cost-per-acquisition (CPA) and return on investment (ROI).
  • A growth-focused mindset with the creativity to identify new channels and strategies for user acquisition.
  • An analytical approach to decision-making, relying on data-driven insights to guide marketing strategies.

Work Environment: We are currently a fully remote studio. We are calling for individuals across the United States who are ready to join our narrative from 9-5 PM based on their local time zone, Monday through Friday. We are unable to bring on international candidates at this time.

Compensation: Muddy Robot Games invites you to contribute your skills and expertise as a contractor. Instead of a traditional salary, you will receive equity shares in the company, signifying your role as a stakeholder. The initial value of your equity is based on a fair market valuation, corresponding to the agreed-upon worth of your input. 

Our equity compensation model is structured to proportionately reward your contributions. As the company progresses, it’s important to understand that the value of your equity may vary with market conditions and company performance. It is essential for prospective contractors to consult with a professional regarding the legal and tax implications of equity compensation.
