Role Summary: As the Social Media / Community Manager at Muddy Robot Games, you will be the voice and ear of our studio in the digital world. Your primary mission is to build, grow, and manage our online communities across various platforms. You will create engaging content, spark conversations, monitor feedback, and drive player engagement while embodying the voice and ethos of our brand. Must be located in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing social media accounts and online communities, ideally within the gaming industry.
- Demonstrated ability to grow social media followings and engage users.
- Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.
Additional Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft messages that resonate with a diverse audience.
- Knowledge of social media platforms (such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Twitch, and Discord) and best practices for each.
- Experience in creating social media strategies and content calendars.
- Familiarity with image and video editing software is a plus.
- A genuine passion for gaming and an understanding of gamer culture and trends.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas for content and community events.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and campaigns simultaneously.
- Adaptable and Agile: Possesses the flexibility to adapt to new challenges and the agility to shift focus or priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.

Work Environment: We are currently a fully remote studio. We are calling for individuals across the United States who are ready to join our narrative from 9-5 PM based on their local time zone, Monday through Friday. We are unable to bring on international candidates at this time.
Compensation: Muddy Robot Games invites you to contribute your skills and expertise as a contractor. Instead of a traditional salary, you will receive equity shares in the company, signifying your role as a stakeholder. The initial value of your equity is based on a fair market valuation, corresponding to the agreed-upon worth of your input.
