Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled 3D Artist / 3D Modeler to transform ideas into visual wonders. With your expertise, you will create detailed game assets and environments that are both enchanting and lifelike, pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming. You’ll help shape the visual pillars of our games, ensuring every texture, model, and animation. Must be located in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to conceive and execute the artistic vision for our games.
• Craft high-quality 3D models and textures for game assets, environments, characters, and props.
• Rig and animate 3D models, bringing characters and elements to life with realistic movements.
• Optimize models for performance efficiency without compromising artistic integrity.
• Stay current with industry trends to ensure our visuals stand out in the market.
• Contribute to the creation of visual concepts and participate in art reviews, providing constructive feedback.

Educational Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Graphics, Art, Design, or a related field is preferred, though not required with a strong portfolio.

Experience Requirements:

• 4 years of experience as a 3D Artist or Modeler within the gaming industry, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation software such as Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or similar tools.
• Experience with Unity’s asset integration processes is highly beneficial.

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of color theory, lighting, and shading to create aesthetically pleasing and technically sound visuals.
• Familiarity with the complete pipeline of 3D asset creation, from concept to in-game implementation.
• Ability to work with various artistic styles, catering to different game genres and design preferences.

Work Environment: We are currently a fully remote studio. We are calling for individuals across the United States who are ready to join our narrative from 9-5 PM based on their local time zone, Monday through Friday. We are unable to bring on international candidates at this time.

Compensation: Muddy Robot Games invites you to contribute your skills and expertise as a contractor. Instead of a traditional salary, you will receive equity shares in the company, signifying your role as a stakeholder. The initial value of your equity is based on a fair market valuation, corresponding to the agreed-upon worth of your input. 

Our equity compensation model is structured to proportionately reward your contributions. As the company progresses, it’s important to understand that the value of your equity may vary with market conditions and company performance. It is essential for prospective contractors to consult with a professional regarding the legal and tax implications of equity compensation.
